If you could go back and add keys to 3 pre Rock Band 3 era songs, what would they be?

I would have to say Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, Spaceman by the Killers, and Swing, Swing by All American Rejects. I feel like those songs have really defining keyboard parts that stand out. What would you guys pick to upgrade?

I would do it for Any Way You Want It by Journey. Its just a shame that song didn’t transfer over to RB3.

Weirdly enough, I’d say those iwrestledabearonce songs we got on the RBN (“Tastes Like Kevin Bacon” and “You Ain’t No Family”). Those songs have very active keys, and they sound like they’d be a lot of fun, actually.

Oh, and of course “Highway Star” by Deep Purple. That organ solo is just too prominent to ignore entirely <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

I don’t know if I could pick three, but all of Boston, The Who, Deep Purple, The Cars, Rush, and Kansas would be there.

“Carry on Wayward Sun” and Boston needed keys. Yet Bon Jovi ended up getting the RB3 remakes.

I guess there’s always “Less Talk More Rokk” but that would mean the guitar would be cut.

Or if it became part of RBHP it would probably just be the guitar part with a pro version.

Smokin’ by Boston, even though the combined guitar and keys chart that we got is pretty fun.

Other two would be REO Speedwagon – Roll with the Changes and Spinal Tap – Short and Sweet, which both have pretty long solos on synth/organ.

I forgot about Lego Rock Band. I’d love to have had keys on “The Final Countdown”. Keys on Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia” would’ve been nice too mostly because they’d be good to double up on vocals with.

    “Panic Attack” by Dream Theater.

Doesn’t go without saying it’s been done in the RBHP, but still.

The irony is that if someone charted a key upgrade for this song, that note would literally be the only note that you wouldn’t be able to play. A lot of older songs before Rock Band 3 don’t use proper count ins if the piano is the only instrument that’s playing. This was also an issue with adding keys to “Bring Me to Life.” The first couple notes had to be omitted because the song begins so quickly.

Basically the entirety of Lego Rock Band and The Beatles: Rock Band.
