Lots of 80’s acts, man. Just… nearly anything.
Like some Wang Chung – Dance Hall Days and Everybody Have Fun Tonight.
Phil Collins – Sussudio
Peter Gabriel’s entire So album would be epic, but I don’t know how some of that would translate to full band, like Mercy Street or Milgram’s 37.
More Go-Gos!
April 20, 2013 at 9:35 pm #398643I secound that! Even though I’m new to learning about charting customs, I will figure it out and will have some awesome eighties to contribute. It just may take a while to learn but I’m willing because I love Rock Band sooo much!

Mentioning these two artists made me realize…GENESIS!
Riding the Scree
(seriously, I would LOVE to play this one on drums)
and
The Colony of Slippermen
come to mind. Lots of great proggy drums, weird keys and strings, and Peter Gabriel singing with Phil Collins harmonies, yes please! Just don’t tell Richard Hammond.
EDIT: I realize neither of these are 80’s, but I thought it relevant enough to warrant a pass ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

One song is on the way.
April 22, 2013 at 5:09 pm #398721There were a bunch of 80s (as well as late 70s) groups that we got in Rock Band after RB3 came out with the keyboard, particularly in the New Wave/Post-Punk genre, I had hoped it meant we would see more from those groups but outside of the initial releases for the most part we didn’t get much else. Then some groups such as Duran Duran came out way before RB3 that totally need keys and harmonies. Anyways, here’s a sort of dream list of songs I’d had hoped would come out for RB, hopefully some of them get customs someday:
The Cure – Boys Don’t Cry, Killing an Arab, In Between Days, The Hanging Garden
Depeche Mode – Everything Counts, Strangelove, Halo, Enjoy The Silence
Duran Duran – Save A Prayer, Planet Earth, The Reflex, New Moon On Monday
Echo and the Bunnymen – Lips Like Sugar, Ripeness, Bring On Dancing Horses, Seven Seas
Erasure – Chains of Love, Oh l’Amour, Who Needs Love Like That
A Flock of Seagulls – Space Age Love Song, Wishing
The Human League – Love Action (I Believe In Love), The Lebanon, Seconds
INXS – Original Sin, Devil Inside, New Sensation, Listen Like Thieves
Joy Division – Transmission, She’s Lost Control, Shadowplay, Dead Souls
Morrissey – Everyday Is Like Sunday, Suedehead, Interesting Drug, Last of The Famous Int’l Playboys
New Order – Dreams Never End, Age of Consent, Temptation, The Perfect Kiss, 1963
Oingo Boingo – Dead Man’s Party, Just Another Day, Little Girls
Siouxsie & The Banshees – Arabian Knights, Happy House, Christine, Spellbound
The Smiths – The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, Bigmouth Strikes Again, There is A Light That Never Goes Out
Soft Cell – Where Did Our Love Go?, Sex Dwarf
The Stone Roses – I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs The Drum, Mersey Paradise
Tears For Fears – Mad World, Mother’s Talk, Pale Shelter

April 24, 2013 at 4:43 am #398770First off, Zeppelin, Floyd and Radiohead in consecutive weeks is exactly what rockband needed!
So who am I to request anything, but it is a great thread and I love the lists of songs. Maybe some of these will spark some interest/memories. Instead of alt 80s, I’ll go with some great hair bands (mostly 80s) -before Nirvana ended it all ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Journey/Separate Ways (83′ Its seems like the game is lacking some Journey)
Tesla/Little Suzi (87′ First studio single)
Scorpions/Still Loving You – (84′ a little long but an epic power ballad)
Badlands/Winter’s Call – (89′ My favorite OZZY guitar player ever! Jake E Lee’s other band)
Winger/Headed for a Heartbreak – (89′ Kip Winger may be the biggest poser ever…but I admit to liking this song)
Blue Murder/Jelly Roll – (89′ one hit wonder, john sykes solo project, ex whitesnake guitarist)
Dangerous Toys/Scared – (89′ Little known song, was number #1 on Headbangers ball for about 15 minutes)
Steelheart/I’ll Never Let You Go – (91′ Red devil vocal range)
Dokken/Alone Again – (85′ Another power ballad, George Lynch underrated guitarist)
Warrant/Uncle Tom’s Cabin – (91′ still a very cool song)
Skid Row/Quicksand jesus – (91′ May be their best ever, imo.)
Kingdom Come/What Love Can Be – (88′ Obscure, and a rip off of Zeppelin, but who’s better to rip off!)
fyi…rateyourmusic dot com is a pretty cool site for music info (and no I don’t work for the site)
April 24, 2013 at 8:45 am #398771One of those is on the way.
April 24, 2013 at 5:35 pm #398778First of all sorry, I know understand how you guys would like the requests organised so most of the bands form my post yesterday should have been in here.
+1 for Joy Division… of course I’d enjoy everything mentioned above.
The 80s Whereabouts Pack
“Walking In L.A.” by Missing Persons
“Big In Japan” by Alphaville
“One Night In Bangkok” by Murray Head
I will take a crack at learning to chart customs to make this a reality.
April 24, 2013 at 6:37 pm #398779“One Night In Bangkok” by Murray Head
This times a million.
April 24, 2013 at 9:01 pm #398783“Big In Japan” by AlphavilleI’ll do vocals for that.
April 24, 2013 at 9:43 pm #398786“(Welcome To The) Boomtown” by David & David
“Eyes Of A Stranger” by The Payolas
“Limelight” by The Alan Parsons Project (heck, I’d love anything from their heyday)
“My Mistake” by Phantom, Rocker & Slick
“Remember Manhattan” by Richard Marx
Huge +1 to the Missing Persons suggestion above – or just about anything else from the Spring Session M album. Terry Bozzio is an amazing drummer.
April 26, 2013 at 7:09 am #398816One of those is on the way.*crosses fingers* hopefully the Journey track.
April 29, 2013 at 3:06 am #398936“(Welcome To The) Boomtown” by David & David+1
