Don’t erase it off the SD card. You have to find it in the nand folder of your Wii.
Start sZHE and sZGE at 003. They go up to about 500.
September 1, 2015 at 2:15 am #454065Ok I think I got what you’re saying. I’ll be working on it tomorrow. I’ve been trying it via FTP and just going right into my SD card in Filezilla. I’ll take another crack at it.
EDIT* I easily found where the MSTORE file was and I’m waiting for my DLC to come up. Loading 437. My Jesus.
September 2, 2015 at 7:00 am #454101New round of songs freezing my Wii, and one of them was delisted from the database ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> :
Dare to Be Stupid – Weird Al
The Reflex – Duran Duran ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Turn it On Again – Genesis
Wait for Sleep – Dream Theater
White and Nerdy – Weird Al
I don’t know how Reflex will get fixed.
September 3, 2015 at 2:40 am #454148It’s a bit concerning that anything is even wrong with those considering they’re much newer. Redownload those from the DB and tell me if they’re working now.
September 3, 2015 at 7:23 am #454153I’ll check them out tomorrow morning. As for The Reflex, if I still have problems, would I be able to fix it manually using the C3 CON Tools? I have yet to check out that suite, but would it be able to flag what’s missing in the data? And, would it be editable in the Wii format, or does it have to be converted back to CON? I’m curious of the success rate of the Wii Converter function in the Tools.
Or will I have to go into Magma itself to fix any delisted problem songs? I have yet to install/use Magma: C3 Roks edition as well.
Would updating to the Packer 2.1 tools alleviate some of my particular problems? I’ve been having success with 2.0 mostly.
Edit: Trying individually adding the affected songs before trying the re-downloads, just in case I have some luck.
September 3, 2015 at 3:43 pm #454165I’m not entirely sure what could be wrong with that custom, if anything. So try checking your files to see if something else happened. The newer packer may help though.
September 3, 2015 at 4:17 pm #454166Is the newest packer tied to any particular content generation, or can I still use sZFE until it’s maxed out?
The packer seemed to pack everything just fine (and this goes for those aforementioned times where the packer would hang and I’d have to run the packer again), generating both the app and bin files. And it should be noted that my first of this new set of 9 songs (4 of them were successful), Uprising at 268.bin sZFE, went just fine, as did Judith at 278.bin sZFE, View to a Kill at 280.bin, and Sussudio at 282.bin.
I don’t think bin numbers make a real difference, but I listed them anyway just in case it helps any. Dare to be Stupid was 270.bin, The Reflex at 272.bin, Turn it on Again at 274.bin, Wait for Sleep at 276.bin. White and Nerdy was the last unsuccessful attempt at 284.bin.
Edit: Tried the old affected files individually. No dice. Will try the re-downloaded ones next.
Edit 2: The re-downloaded ones still didn’t work. I’ll download the 2.1 packer and see what I can do with it. If that doesn’t work, I may have to poke around myself, but as I’m not an author, I don’t know quite what I’ll be looking for.
September 4, 2015 at 7:11 pm #454281Once everything is installed, here’s how you’ll run Neogamma for customs:
Without the cheats:
Select “Launch Game on DVD” on Neogamma’s main menu. That’s it! No changing of any options needed.
With Cheats:
Select “Options” from the main menu.
Select “Ocarina/Wiird”.
Here are the ONLY things you need to modify in the subsequent menu:
“Wii Hook Type”: Set this to “VBI”
“Wii Ocarina”: Set this to “Yes”
That’s it! All this in place, along with Stack’s main tutorial, and you’ll be all set for using the official Rock Band 3 disc for customs!
Just wanted to say thanks for this guide, I wasn’t able to get codes working before this, but now they do.
September 5, 2015 at 4:08 am #454310” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> Glad to hear it. I have yet to test any of the other codes, and couldn’t get unlock license-blocked code to work, but I’m glad this helped you in some way. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
September 5, 2015 at 8:27 pm #454363Sorry about the delay……
As far as I know no one has been able to write the nand back to the vwii.
I thought I came across a post a while back that said you could, but can’t remember where (pretty sure it wasn’t on this site).
thx again for your help with the other matter, it’s working fine now.
September 6, 2015 at 6:11 pm #454401Stack, are there any differences in functionality between version 2.0 of the packing tools and 2.1? I didn’t see a changelog or anything like that in the 2.1 directory, so I figured I’d ask before I get 2.1 ready to use.
September 6, 2015 at 7:30 pm #454406I honestly don’t even remember anymore. Maybe that it ships with the batch-making tool? If/when a better replacement comes along, then it will replace 2.1, but until then…
sZGE and sZHE are sort of built upon 2.1 though, so know that.
September 6, 2015 at 7:56 pm #454407Alright. Let me see if i can max out sZFE with some working songs in 2.0. For the ones that aren’t working on my Wii yet, will I be able to edit them in C3 CON Tools or Magma while in wii format, or will I have to convert back to CON to edit?
I’m not an author, so I wouldn’t know what exactly to fix…
September 6, 2015 at 9:02 pm #454414Hold off on those so I can inspect them. I’ve run into problem songs too, but they usually fix themselves somehow.
September 10, 2015 at 6:21 pm #454623Hi StackOverflow0x,
In your How-To on the first page you say “RBHP is only available for NTSC regions, like USA.” Is there a reason why RBHP is not available for PAL? Will the RBHP-files work on a PAL system? Is there a way to make it work for PAL? I would love to get this running on my Wii…
