How to play Phase Shift without strumming?

Hi everyone, I want to know how to play Phase Shift without strumming. I can set the controls for green, red, blue, yellow and orange. I play Phase Shift with keyboard.
A first way would be to change the part name in the track in the MIDI file of the song from whatever instrument you’re trying to play without strumming (guitar, bass, coop, rhythm, etc) to keys.
A second way would be to use something like GlovePIE or FreePIE and map 2 buttons to one button, kinda like how the solo buttons on the RB guitar works.
