I don’t know. I thought there would be no way I would make it in…but I made it. I am assuming that having my kids playing Rock Band in the video helped, as people usually love cute kid videos and such.
We invoked our kids, too. Also my wife is WAAAY better looking than me, so that probably helped.

Dunno how much right I have to be posting this, the basically non-entity that I am on this site, when likely more deserving members didn’t make it. But I gotta give my credit where it’s due (and could evidently not be mentioned explicitly in the video): customs were a huge factor in keeping me playing Rock Band, so I want to extend my thanks to the C3 staff and community for their part in making this possible!

I won’t lie, I’m still hurt about not being accepted. Even though I told myself I didn’t care, I do care. It feels like someone asked my high school crush “so when are you and TrojanNemo getting together?” and she replied with “TrojanNemo? Ewwwwww gross!”…and then proceeded to sleep with 500 other guys who weren’t me.
So the feeling of rejection sucks.
But I’m not upset or mad or in any way resenting those that did get in. Why? It’s not your fault!
Enjoy and make sure to share with the not so lucky. Maybe those that did get in should do an AMA kind of thing so we can get all the pending questions answered prior to release.

I feel you should of been accepted. You throw Rock Band nights at a bar in your town. That to me is spreading the word for strangers who come into the bar to be exposed to the game. Maybe it’s your extensive customs background that negated it?
Nah, my video didn’t do a good job at showing the bar events. I don’t host them either, this guy’s been hosting them since 2008 and I started helping him early 2013 and kept helping until early 2015. Only “ran it” myself one night he needed me to cover for him.
But still, I do spread the gospel of Rock Band. I just didn’t do a good job at showing that on the video. And I still hold that they probably hate me.
But oh well, like a dirty whore, I went and preordered the band kit again (I had cancelled it) and kept my game + adapter preorder as well).

Yeah, I’m pretty disappointed that I didn’t get accepted too. I’ve been a fan of Harmonix since 2006 and it’s been a big dream to work for them. This would have been the closest I could have got to doing that

Yeah I’m with Nemo here. I kept telling myself “don’t get your hopes up” so I tried not to, and then the rejection letter came in and I felt a little bad about it. This isn’t the first time I’ve been rejected for something that I cared so much about either, but it’s still a bummer. The big thing about it for me was going into RB4 my ION kit won’t work and drums are my main instrument. So without the band in a box bundle, I am unable to play drums. And now with the Canadian dollar so bad it’s really hard for me to be able to pay $300 plus tax for the bundle. I guess I might just buy the single game disc and if I can find a separate drumset down the line that would be great. But please, road crew members, SHARE EVERYTHING YOU CAN WITH US!! We would love to hear how you guys feel about the game!
