So It looks like the new Guitar Hero is called Guitar Hero Live, I guess I can’t wait to see what it has.

Details on the next Guitar Hero game appear to have leaked ahead of its official reveal later today.
As reported by Lemonde.fr (and syndicated by Yahoo France), the new game is allegedly called Guitar Hero LIVE and is in development at DJ Hero studio FreeStyleGames. It will also feature a new first-person viewpoint, the report claims.
VideoGamer.com has contacted Activision for comment.
I would love to see the DLC return as there was songs I did not know when the DLC went away but I know some songs now.
Yeah, that doesn’t sound terribly interesting to me.
I’m not sure what this means for RB vs. GH competition. They are very different games again, but so were GH3 and RB1 and they released around the same time. As I recall, GH3 sold a bajillion copies to RB1’s merely a gajillion. Is it all name recognition? Even a scaled back RB4 still sounds like it’s going to have oodles more features than GHL.
Why am I rambling about this? I dunno. After being spoiled by RB, GH seems like an also-ran. I have to wonder, Why?

Just announced and revealed in French’s newspaper “Le Monde”, “Guitar Hero Live” is taking the series back to its root with a twist:You’ll play in a first person perspective.
There won’t be colored frets on the guitar but 6 black and whites one, in two rows.
It’s currently being developed by Freestyle Games (DJ Hero).

Guitar Hero TV is looking a ton like something we discussed internally (no multitracks, you buy songs like in Singstar).
I saw the official blog. They said it’s going on mobile, too.
So all the playtesting rumors that were leaked years ago is true. 6 button controller with 2 rows, First Person View on stage.
I admit the button layout on new controller is intriguing. It means it probably won’t be compatible with RB4, and vice versa, though.
I personally am more in love with the party aspect of RB, than just playing songs.
It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out now because the games are no longer parodies of each other, but completely different experiences. I have no interest in this. I have all Rock Band and Guitar Games but this will be my first non-buy for guitar hero. Guitar only? Is this 2005? Completely reinventing the guitar to add a 6th button but on top of the 3 above seems strange too. They are kinda messing with the formula a bit, and in this idea of trying to make it more lifelike, at this point just play Rocksmith, I personally think this looks terrible.
Another interesting note is that a Green Day song is confirmed, which at one point was a HMX exclusive. It’ll be interesting to see what GH exclusives RB can now obtain such as Metallica or the Eagles
It’s kind of interesting that they modified the controller to simultaneously be more AND less like playing a real guitar.
I personally am more in love with the party aspect of RB, than just playing songs.For me, this has always been the clearest delineation between the two franchises. I’m just more interested in the one that has always been focused on my buddies and I standing in the same room and acting ridiculous together.
Well there goes my hopes of a new GH guitar to play RB4 with
