thank you
May 31, 2014 at 7:25 am #421485The australian version featured jailbreak and rip instead of love at first feel and rocker, do you plan to do this two songs too?
I can’t say no to any AC/DC songs, but those two are far down my list. Rocker falls into the category of guitar “throw-up” for me. It’s a great jam track, but Angus is just wailing on the guitar the whole song and I don’t think it would be that fun to play in RB. Also, it was on the T.N.T. album, which features several other songs I’d rather do first.
Love at First Feel was only put on the international versions, and isn’t really a favorite of mine. Plus, Canuck did a drums-only version of it if someone really needs it in their library.
This thread always makes me wish I liked AC/DC more. This thread makes me wish I liked AC/DC less. I wish I could say “There’s about 5 or 6 songs by them I really like. I should do those and work on something else.” But I can’t. I have a compulsion to get as much out there as I can, while maintaining a respectable level of quality. I just counted 35 more songs that I still think need to be done, that really should be in the game. I believe I’m at 30 now, with 32 total, so we’re nearly half way there. Not that I would stop there, but the compulsion would start to fade by then.
May 31, 2014 at 9:37 am #421494Don’t stop! (that’s what she said)
Can’t get enough. (again, see above)
Seriously, though, AC/DC just put out good rockin tunes. They can’t stop. They’re in Vancouver working on another album…last I heard.
May 31, 2014 at 10:13 am #421495Actually, in Rock Band quotations are also illegal. From the docs:
Weird, when me and Nemo gathered info about what needed to be stripped, quotiation marks were included in the “do not remove” list. Are you sure it’s an illegal thing and not a “try not to use them” thing?
The bolded text states, “We avoid using quotation marks.” I think the word “avoid” is a sign that they are not to be used

Also, on topic, nice to see a full album get released around these parts. I’d make a pun about big balls, but I’m several hours too late for it.

Not really. I “avoid” fatty foods, it doesn’t mean I can’t eat them. Also, it’s an added explanation to the main rule “you should only use question marks and exclamation marks”: since a rule is already laid out why specify you avoid something when you’ve already said you shouldn’t use it? Hence my doubt about it being a “let’s try not to use them” instead of “you can’t use them”. Anyway, I didn’t want to hijack the thread or make it a semantic discussion, I was just curious because of the information we gathered at the time.
May 31, 2014 at 2:20 pm #421507I got to play some of these last night. Damn, they were not just good and fun, but some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing. They were pure joy. Everything about them was just tremendous. I finished a song and I could hear my neighbor singing along that is how damn good these are (and how loud I was playing, dual compliment). Ride on was totally amazing by the way. It absolutely hit the mark. As a longtime AC/DC fan, I just felt the need to thank you again.
If you didn’t get these you are so missing out. Download now and smile, because these just freakin’ rock.
Thank you Funky. I salute ya brother.
On another note, is Bedlam in Belgium on your list? Flick of the Switch wasn’t the greatest album, but that song was very good. As a youngster it was my pretend wrestling entrance music in our neighborhood wrestling federation. My finisher was the “Brain Shake” also a song from Flick of the Switch. In case you wondered it was a modified brainbuster reminiscent of a fisherman’ suplex. Which more than 20 years later I saw on an ECW match. I excitedly claimed that I had invented that.
Enough is enough no more story time. Just thanks Funky.
May 31, 2014 at 5:57 pm #421515I sure hope Bedlam in Belgium is on the list

May 31, 2014 at 10:39 pm #421538… Here’s another thanks that will get lost in the flood of gratitude for this AC/DC album.

i will chart guitar and pro drums for that
June 1, 2014 at 3:38 am #421555If they do go ahead and make another album, I think we can guarantee it would be the quickest custom release of all time. Once the album was released, I would work non-stop to have it Rock Band ready as soon as possible.

Once the album was released, I would work non-stop to have it Rock Band ready as soon as possible.I read that Malcolm has health problems, possibly a stroke & it has been put on hold. I wont post a link but if you search it, there are several articles about it.
June 1, 2014 at 4:04 am #421557Man, this album is loads of fun. Rocked a few tracks from it on drums tonight and everything was solid, but I did run into a strange problem where the BRE was missing on Problem Child. It’s not a huge thing, but I figured I’d bring it up. Thanks, funky!

I read about that. But also there’s the rumor that their brother, Stevie Young was supposedly going to fill in for Malcolm, until he recovers.
I’m not expecting a new album by any means, but there’s a chance.
I did run into a strange problem where the BRE was missing on Problem Child. It’s not a huge thing, but I figured I’d bring it up.I noticed that when I tested it the first time, but then I thought I went and fixed it right. Definitely need to go back and patch that up.
And a big thanks to all you guys for the compliments. It definitely makes the work I did on this much more worth it. And as always, thanks to oscarj08 for showing me his database of guitar/drum charts for all the songs.
June 1, 2014 at 5:04 am #421562I had the same issue on problem child. Was playing coop guitar bass with a friend, it was normal on guitar, but on bass the normal notes kept playing and even though my friend hit all the notes, we lost the bonus.
I should add that IMO, BREs should never exist and should never have been introduced to the series, but I’m sure people will disagree with me there
June 1, 2014 at 6:13 am #421566I try to avoid them, and even on that song I tried to do one without the BRE, but the drums were just too crazy to do properly. Also the bass was really difficult to pick up.
Out of all my AC/DC songs, I’ve only ended two on a BRE, so there’s that.
I’ll probably get that fix up sometime Sunday.
