I am working on a custom for myself and this is my first time working with disco flipping. I did follow what the authoring docs stated, but I am confused.

I placed [mix 3 drums3d] where it is needed, but it only affected Pro Drums and not Standard Drums

 

 

What am I doing wrong here? I do know placing [mix 3 drums0] where it is needed reverts the chart back to normal. I am looking into this, but if I find the solution, I’ll update this topic.

When charting for disco flip, imagine what you would see if you were playing standard drums and chart exactly that.

Disco flips sections swaps reds with yellows on Pro Drums, not on base drums.

 

So when you want to use it, you chart snare on yellow and hihat on red. Basic drums always use gems as they appear in the midi track, and the disco flips swaps those back for Pro.
