Le Fluffie is self contained and should run fine off the folder it comes in. If you’re having troubles with it post on the thread and we can help you troubleshoot it.

THERION – SON OF THE STAVES OF TIME
Notes:
This is my very first attempt at making a custom completely from scratch and I think it turned out decent. It’s full band (except keys), all difficulties, animations, lighting, overdrive, drum fills, etc. I think it’s a VERY fun song on every instrument, without being impossibly difficult. The hardest thing about the song is the vocals, which may present a challenge to those who are unfamiliar with the song. I hope everyone gives this song a chance and please feel free to offer any critiques you may have. It will only help my next song turn out better. Also, big thanks to Nyxyxylyth for putting the finishing touch on the vocals and helping me get over a spell of “charter’s block”.
If applicable, I’d like to present this custom as an audition to become a new C3 author. I think I’m fairly comfortable with the process now and would like to contribute if I may.

In that case, you need to upload the Reaper package, project + audio file(s).
October 14, 2013 at 5:28 pm #407902Great job on “Rock and Roll”, thank you so much. I had some friends and family over playing RB3 this past weekend and that one was in heavy rotation (along with all the other Led Zep customs). Hoping to see a lot more custom tracks from these “elite” bands that never made it to RB (Zeppelin, Floyd, Stones, Eagles, etc.). I’m still trying to figure out the whole authoring process myself, but it’s been a slow go for me. The workshop that pksage did was a huge help but my main problem (as I would imagine all the authors have) is finding the time to sit and really concentrate on it. Now that summer’s over, the fall & winter should afford me some more free time so I remain hopeful that one day soon I too might become an awesome contributing member of this community such as yourself. I’m not familiar with Therion at all but I will definitely check it out. Thanks again clintilona, keep ’em coming (pretty please, with rock and metal on top) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> .

It’s posts like these that will keep me motivated to do more customs. As for you making your own, don’t give up. I was in the same boat as you a month ago and wasn’t sure I could do it, but ended up finding out that it’s actually not that hard once you break through that first wall. It is definitely time consuming, but just take it one song at a time and one instrument at a time and before you know it your first song will be done.
I look forward to your first song. We definitely need more authors on the rock & metal side of things.

ALICE COOPER – BE MY LOVER
Notes:
It’s full band, all difficulties, animations, lighting, overdrive, drum fills, etc. The game definitely needed some more classic Alice Cooper that was not a re-record or live version. I hope this song helps to fill that void, if even only a little bit. It’s a karaoke version, which for me, makes it a hundred times more fun to sing.

Amen, my friend. Amen!
October 24, 2013 at 4:58 am #408424Haven’t had a chance to play Cooper yet, but you did a real bang-up job on Rock and Roll.
October 25, 2013 at 4:20 am #408461Vintage Alice, cool! This was the pick of the week for me (not a Weird Al fan), thank you.
November 9, 2013 at 6:19 am #409060Credit goes to Puppetz from Frets on Fire for making the guitar chart for this one. It was a pretty good chart, so I didn’t modify it very much.
This might be my favorite power ballad ever. Outstanding vocals and some great guitar (including a VERY nice solo). Bass and drums are pretty simple, but they’re still a lot of fun to play. I hope you all belt out these Bach vocals as loud as I did when I playtested it… Loved every second of it.
I’ve been wanting this song in Rock Band since the game first came out. I got hopeful when the 18 and Life custom came out, but decided to do it myself after losing hope that farotone would do more Skid Row. Here’s hoping someone else follows suit and does the other required song from the self-titled debut, Youth Gone Wild (hell, I’d probably chip in vocals on it if someone were to do the rest).
November 9, 2013 at 7:22 am #409063Oh hell ya! “I Remember You” for the win! Thank you so much. All we need now from Skid Row is “Youth Gone Wild” like you said.
November 9, 2013 at 12:40 pm #409067Awesome! Thanks for I Remember You! Great song and a great custom. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Like others said, hopefully someone does Youth Gone Wild as well.
November 10, 2013 at 5:38 am #409086Thought I’d give off some venue making advice from a guy who got his start on venue making (I like bragging). I saw a guy playing “I Remember You” and the venue had those directed cuts that seemed to last longer than I’m sure you intended, primarily the fret board close-ups. What you want is a cut between the directed cut and the cut where you want the shot to end, something we call a “dummy cut”. Managing them can be tough with songs with five instruments. Experiment with it in your next custom.
November 10, 2013 at 5:42 am #409087Love me some Skid Row (and the whole 80’s Hair Metal genre in general). I was rocking out to one of their heavier tracks called “Monkey Business” in the car earlier today. Then I come home to find this very pleasant surprise. It’s another walk-off home run by clintilona in the clutch!
