You’re all awesome!
I’m gonna look through when this is all over and make one big donation instead of doing it incrementally as it goes on. Refreshing this page every day on lunch is gonna bring me great joy at work though :}

New Wave pack
by DemonUnicornsThe Sisters of Mercy – Dominion/Mother Russia
Siouxsie and The Banshees – Dear Prudence
Can you feel that wave? This pack sees the return of longtime Rock Band favorites Blondie with another epic hit. This song is sure to be a highlight with drummers. Next, making their first full band Rock Band appearance is The Sisters of Mercy. If you played Grand Theft Auto IV, you may remember this song from the Liberty Rock Radio station. To round out this pack is a unique cover of The Beatles by Siouxsie and The Banshees. Siouxsie’s last Rock Band release was in 2010, so this was a longtime coming!
Song count so far: 47
The next author up at November 27th, 10PM EST-04:00 CET is nsw1-6. This next pack is from a decade between the 60s and 80s.
November 27, 2017 at 7:33 pm #492829I’m excited we’re only at day 3 and donations are going great and we still have a ton of great content. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
And I bet a lot of people are like me and are going to do one lump sum donation right at the very end. It should be interesting to see how the donations spike on or around the 25th of December.
November 27, 2017 at 8:16 pm #492831For all of you out there considering whether you should donate now or later… may I suggest that you consider donating now?
$2 donated today is a $2 guaranteed donation, and $2 that go towards making the overall project feel like a success, which in turn has the positive effect on generating even more donations and motivating those contributing to it.
Also, it’s going to be a lot easier on your pocket to donate daily or maybe even weekly than to leave it for one lump sum at the end of the month-long project, which could be hundreds of dollars right around Christmas time. Then other priorities take place and next thing you know, no donations.
So yes, give generously and often.
November 27, 2017 at 8:22 pm #492832Credit card fees applied on every transaction put off people so I fully understand anyone who wants to delay and give in a single lump. I’ll just reiterate the request that if you can split your donations in 2 or 3 chunks that would keep the donarions pool moving while not draining your account with transaction fees. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
Most important though, if you’re donating, have donated or will donate we are all immensely greateful. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
November 27, 2017 at 10:31 pm #492836A very noteworthy 3 pack of New Wave niceties!
Get your 80’s groove on,….
Nice work DemonUnicorns! Insta-download!
(Yes Bansh, I know what you’re gonna say about Blondie….just cut the ol’ guy some slack, would ‘ya) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
November 27, 2017 at 11:29 pm #492838My donation pledge total is so far (sadly) on the low end…but if and when that amount drastically increases, then I may consider splitting it up. For now, it doesn’t make sense to do that.
November 28, 2017 at 12:04 am #492840Sick songs so far, great cause as well.

What was I gonna say? I got nothing against Blondie. I was actually discussing with some fellow authors about charting “Atomic” when DemonUnicorns released his pack.
Which is an awesome pack, by the way. Thanks DemonUnicorns!
November 28, 2017 at 1:25 am #492843I wanted to post my thanks to everyone involved in this, I hope you all feel rather proud of yourselves!
For my part I have donated a lump sum already and I am keeping track of my downloads ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
November 28, 2017 at 1:26 am #492844You’re welcome! Maybe he thought you were going to say something about Dreaming not being 80s like his post suggested…

Ah yes that’s probably it. Sorry Freud, no slack for the wicked…or something like that.

November 28, 2017 at 3:00 am #49284811. November 27th, 10PM EST-0400CET70s 6-Packby nsw1-6with the assistance of AJFOne23, TheWay123, and BansheeflyerRenaissance – Carpet of the SunAudio Source Lineage: 1973 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Some lossThe first appearance of this band to the C3 database, as well as my first custom completed all by myself. From a great and underrated symphonic prog band that had its run during the 70s, this non-single cut from one of their classic records, Ashes Are Burning, sure does feel like one.FM – Phasors On StunDrums/Venues/Assistance: TheWay123Audio Source Lineage: 1976 Analog Master -> 1978 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise Removal -> Speed CorrectionOpening track to the first album by the second-greatest 70s Canadian prog band, FM! (Rush fans, beware their musical prowess) An ode to science fiction, as with the rest of the album, this song is pretty big without boasting guitar chops. More to come from this album in the future after their first time in the database.Lake – On the RunAudio Source Lineage: 1976 Analog Master -> 1978 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise RemovalHere’s something a little more esoteric for those not well-versed in early AOR groups. The first database appearance of German-British rock group, Lake, featuring their hit single from their eponymous first album. The band soon faded into obscurity after a decade, but have rejoined since and still perform in Europe to this day.Gentle Giant – Playing the GameOD/Playtesting/Consuling: TheWay123Audio Source Lineage: 1974 Analog Master -> 1974 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise Removal -> Detailed Click removalMy first Gentle Giant custom to start off many future releases from this wonderful group, who pushed pop and prog to its creative edges throughout the 70s. Probably the greatest cut off this fine prog classic, showcasing the band’s knack for melodic counterpoint. For those wondering, those “marima sounds” are actually a constructed three-stringed instrument called the “Shulberry”.Yes – No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience NeededDryvox/Venues/Fixes/Finishing Touches: AJFOne23Audio Source Lineage: 1970 Analog Master -> 2003 Rhino Remaster? -> Speed CorrectionWell here we have another non-single “hit” by Yes (the formerly rare music video seems to make it so). Played heavily by the group in their early days, this churning rocker backed by an orchestra definitely shows off the talents of Squire and the underrated Tony Kaye. (So blistering that I couldn’t chart the Keys just yet, sorry!)The Who – Love, Reign O’er MeDryvox/Venues/Fixes/Finishing Touches: AJFOne235-Lane Keys-Reductions: BansheeflyerAudio Source Lineage: 1973 Multitrack tapes -> 1996 RemixThis long-awaited request was a long 9 months in gestation, but it has finally come to term and here for you to play. Featuring a brilliant piano intro, our protagonist of Quadrophenia laments on The Rock near the coast to contemplate about his troubles in life and what he seeks to do about it.Song count so far: 53The next author up at November 28th, 6AM EST-012:00 CET is Oddbrother. He says his release has something to do with a girl in the dark and a hero showing her the way.November 28, 2017 at 3:02 am #492849Glad you were able to get Love Reign O’er Me finished in time. Such an excellent song.
Awesome pack, nsw!
