Will there ever be a mac version?
August 31, 2018 at 9:52 am #500564Only if someone ever port it to ios, which seems unlikely at this point. Your best bet is either a Windows emulator or a Windows VM, or if you want the real deal, dual-boot.
October 27, 2018 at 1:07 pm #501616I guess this is worth documenting even if really minor bug.
When choosing a preview lenght for a Wii conversion, the converter does not modify the DTA file to fix the preview lenght, causing silence after the preview if you choose less than 30seconds preview in the converter.
Just in case, the value to change in the DTA file is ‘preview’, data format is (‘preview’ 3918 8017) where 3918 means start at 3.918 seconds and 8017 stop at 8.017 seconds.
To avoid the bug, you can use the DTA quick editor to change the value to whatever you want before converting to wii, or you can always manually edit it after from the Wii files.

I’m running this through Wine on my mac since there obviously isn’t a Mac version, any help? Thanks!March 10, 2019 at 2:25 am #503796It’s not designed to work through Mono. It probably is not something that can be fixed short of re-writing the entire code.
March 10, 2019 at 9:10 am #503800The home screen for the tools is not compatible with Wine. User SuperRiderTH made a shell script though to run the individual modules and bypass the main screen.
It does mean you can’t use the drag-and-drop feature on the main page, but you can get everything else.

March 10, 2019 at 6:42 pm #503805how do I use / where do I put the shell? in the bin, res or setlists folder or what? Sorry, I’m new to this all lol
August 9, 2019 at 9:48 am #506499Is there any guide / tools, or available sources from C3CONTools, about parsing a RockBand file?
I created a script to convert PhaseShift midi into standard midi and I would like to do the same with RockBand format. Using C3CONTools is not convenient for me.
August 9, 2019 at 10:25 am #506501I created a tool for what was convenient for me and others at the time. No tutorial or guide on how to parse the files. However, I made the source code available. You can look at that and figure out how it’s done.

October 19, 2019 at 7:03 pm #507536Hi TrojanNemo,
Been using your tool for YEARS (so thanks for your efforts and hard work), and im just getting around to fixing and tyding up my RB3 customs USB drive.. as im playing with my family again and id like to ensure the Song Ratings are proper since we have lots of little ones that sometimes are there.
I’d like to know if you could please add a Batch Rating Changer feature that lets us set either 1(FF) 2(SR) 3(M) or 4(Unrated) like the Quick DTA editor does? That would allow us to batch change ratings to songs we drag and drop to it, kind of like the Batch CON Renamer (my favorite tool btw, love it!).
It would otherwise take me many hours to edit the rating of those 330 songs manually. I kinda wish customs had a rule where you HAD to rate them to submit them, lol
Thanks for reading,
EDIT again: I also noticed that some normal songs that aren’t customs aren’t rated either, would you be able to also please, add a Batch Rating change feature to them through the Song Cache, using the Setlist manager tool? I know there’s a rating edit feature there but its not a batch-level feature. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
October 20, 2019 at 11:22 pm #507550Hey dude. Glad to see you are back in the game. I unfortunately am not. I haven’t worked on the tools in nearly two years and have no plans to do so in the near future. I did release the source code and there’s at least one C3 admin working on Magma. Maybe he’ll eventually take over C3 CON Tools as well?

Thanks for the quick reply, no worries bro, it was worth the ask-sad to hear you’re not in the game anymore. Glad to see talent like yourself is in South FL like me too, lol. Stay safe during hurricane season!

That’s the plan!

wait was he talking about you?..
October 25, 2019 at 4:20 pm #507615Yes, I’m nursing some new developments for Magma C3 and I plan on working with C3 CON Tools as well, once I reach some milestones in other projects.
