here’s a teaser of the new and improved Album Art Converter:
coming soon unless I find any problems with this build. I think it’s pretty solid.
May 2, 2013 at 8:03 pm #399091alright new build is online. this is v1.1 and got plenty of plans for much more in the works but gotta take some exams first (stupid education).
link is the same as the op.
v1.1.0 – redesigned and greatly improved the Album Art Converter
– can now go from bmp/png/jpg to rock band format
– any input image size is allowed, program auto-scales to correct size
– can now go from rock band format to bmp/png/jpg
– choice of multiple output sizes and formats
– can drag and drop files into the converter
May 3, 2013 at 11:54 pm #399160If I put an actual DLC file on removable storage, could Le Fluffie work with it? I really wanna fix a “HIM” DLC track so it sorts correctly with the “H.I.M.” song on the RB3 disc. Theoretically I’d lose the ability to play it online or in Blitz, and I’d be okay with that. But is it possible?
Also, beyond the technical aspects– I’d want to know if modifying official DLC could cause some sort of problem with your Xbox Live profile or anything like that, before I proceed.
May 4, 2013 at 12:20 am #399163yes it would work. you need to move the dlc OFF the usb stick though, I wouldn’t recommend (and don’t even think it is possible) to try to edit it while it’s still in the xbox-formatted usb stick.
just make sure you select “CON” and click sign and rebuild when you’re done.
now, make sure when you put it back in the usb stick that you do NOT put it back where you got it from. when you put dlc to the usb stick, it goes in a 000002 folder, customs go in 000001, so make sure you put the resigned song, which is now a custom by the game’s standards, in the 000001 folder.

This worked perfectly! Finally have the two “H.I.M.” songs in my library sorted together. Thanks!

May 6, 2013 at 1:07 am #399274That is awesome.
It will be a huge help to be able to create our own packs with ease.
Should cut down on cache loading time considerably.
Can’t wait to check it out.
May 6, 2013 at 2:27 am #399283Just wanted to say, I just used this version of Le Fluffie to create some dummy song.dta files, to rename the old versions of songs that have a RB3 version, so they will sort as “zzzzzz” at the bottom of the tracklist instead of sorting with their respective artists!
I’m sure this would be a relatively easy thing for anyone else to figure out, but I’m kind of proud of myself for it, and this program made it even easier. So thanks. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
May 7, 2013 at 7:27 pm #399324So you’re either renaming the artist zzzzzzz or the song? Either way I don’t see why you would want that or to even seperate RB3 version songs. Why not just get rid of the non RB3 versions and remove the (RB3 Version) line from the song’s name to just have one version?

I repackaged the RB2 & LRB exports and other big packs to delete 45 songs from my library in addition to editing some. A little time consuming, but you only have to do it once and it was worth it to trim the unwanted songs.

I think the draw of The T’s method is that it would work on an unmodded console, just like RBHP files. I’m gonna try the technique myself so I can fix the artist sorting for H.I.M./HIM tracks (for the time being I have the official DLC swapped with a .dta-edited custom).
May 7, 2013 at 8:31 pm #399327Just so that you guys understand what you’re doing.
Modifying a song’s DTA file, or any other file, will make it be corrupt in DLC (LIVE) format. So you HAVE to convert it to CON. That means you can’t use that song, even if it was originally paid-for DLC, under TU5. In this regard, what C16 and The T are doing is the same thing, because both of them require making the songs be CON and only work on TU4, on both modded and unmodded consoles.
Now, if you guys delete songs from RB1, Lego, RB2, Green Day or other packs that are use for goals, those goals WILL DISSAPPEAR in game. Trust me, I did this early on and had to restore all my songs back…even stupid Song of the Century from Green Day, because I want to have my goals there and I try to complete as many as possible.
If you don’t care about goals, then yeah, deleting them is the easier way to reduce doubles in game.
As a side note, I expect the new version of LeFluffie will go out tonight, I’ve gotten plenty of feedback and have made many many fixes to it, and the automatic packager is ready go go

Either way, as Trojan mentioned, any edit to dlc requires being packaged as a con and therefore renders it a custom.

Not concerned with the track pack goals if it means I can get rid of songs I dislike!
Speaking of the export packs, is the Green Day export listed somewhere different? I cannot seem to find the actual file on my HD and when I redownloaded it to double check and it was only a half second, meaning it is still on the HD. Is it under RB3?
Also, I’ve been able to successfully edit all the tracks I wanted to, except the covers and the rerecords.
With the covers, nothing changes. I did them just the same as the others and the cons will play fine, but no updated info or art.
With the rerecords, it’s been spotty. On most, I’ve been able to change the artwork and the album title, but none of them will drop the rerecorded year in parentheses. None at all. Styx – Renegade would only update album title, it wouldn’t update album art. Jimmy Buffet pack wouldn’t update anything at all.
These are the only ones giving me trouble. I did cache rebuilds several times. In the past, that was the issue with problems that arose, but not with these. Cache rebuild did nothing. Any thoughts?
Looking forward to the new release of LeFluffie!

The RBHP method avoids that problem by lying to your song cache about the details of a song and vanishing. It’s why RBHP works under TU5 (no cons are loaded by the game for play except the upgrade cons which the game is totally cool with).

Having TU5 is not a priority for me since I don’t play online, and I don’t mind putting in the minimal work of creating a new custom package with the harmonies added in and resigning as a con. I have the original DLC files on my pc and can always redownload them to the xbox if need be.
Also, I’d prefer to keep my scores and song ratings instead of rebuilding the cache with each song I update. Either way you do it though, one thing is certain. Having harmonies on so many of these earlier songs is flipping awesome. After going back through the list, there are so many great ones I forgot about that have kick ass harmonies. Thank you for putting these all out for us.
