I was wondering if anybody would do a possible 3 song McCartney pack? A strange number, perhaps, but don’t wanna overload anything obviously, and these songs really deserve the treatment (note: this covers his entire career, Beatles excluded)

 

1. “Too Many People” off of Ram. Seriously, how this hasn’t been done, official or not, is beyond me. Easily one of the best songs he has ever done.

 

2. “Beware My Love” off of Wings at the Speed of Sound. The album may be meh, but this song is a straight rocker with undertones of desperation and a great pace to it.

 

3. “Early Days’ off of New. Probably the most fragile he’s ever sounded vocally, letting his voice actually crack and sounding his age, but in a way the fits the subject matter, the lyrics recalling the early days leading up to The Beatles (while not direct, it’s very obvious)

 

If anyone can do these I’d greatly appreciate it….

 

P,S, – bonus points if “Temporary Secretary” is added as a 4th, because it’s freakin’ “Temporary Secretary”, that’s why. The most unlikely candidate often makes one of the most amusing and interesting

All great suggestions. I keep considering a couple songs off of New, but so far… it hasn’t happened. If I did it would be Looking At Her, Appreciate, or Save Us.

I’ve been enjoying his newest song “Come On To Me” .

Wondering how well the album will be though. Didn’t really enjoy the ballad song that he released alongside it.

I plan a Paul McCartney pack, he even won my poll of which artist to see. However none of the 4 songs you mentioned are currently planned. Other good ones are though!

“Appreciate” would be a great one, I think I’d give it the edge over “Save Us”, as good as that song is. If none of you ever heard “Beware My Love” though, I highly suggest checking it out. I know Wings gets a fair bit of flack, and while that song seems to start out as another simple acoustic thing, it really is one of the best hard rock songs the band ever did
