I wanted to put together a sampling of some of my favorite bands that don’t appear to have much recognition around here, judging by files available. If any of you like Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me, or anything in between, it might be worth you check these bands out if you don’t know of them already, I’ve linked songs below.
Each of these bands could be considered to be part of the Progressive genre, whether that’s Rock, Metal, Death varies between them. I’ve arranged them in descending order from “softest” to “hardest” music. And yes, some of these bands better fit into the “core” genre (metalcore, deathcore) but genres are pretty subjective anyway.
Finally, since I am in a request thread. I would be extremely grateful if anyone decides they like them enough to chart any of the sections, I personally prefer to drum, but just getting any of this amazing music out to the rest of the community is worth it, in my opinion. So thanks in advance for anyone that takes the time to check out any of these songs, leave a reply of any band you particularly enjoyed. And a special thanks to any amazing contributor out there who wants to chart any of this.
