I’m having trouble getting certain songs to show up in game properly. I’ll use Carol of the Bells for an example. http://www.mediafire.com/download/5howq … m_RBv2.rar
This custom is in RBA format. When I use RB3Maker to convert them to cons they all show up in game but the 2X bass pedal versions have white album art and wont work. When you click on them they go back to the main menu of RB3. I suspect something is wrong in the DTA file but I’m not sure how to fix it. Can somebody show me how to fix these 2X bass pedal versions? Thanks
Some other songs that I cant get to work are on this google doc:

Carly Rae Jepsen Meets Metal (Both single and double dont work)
November 26, 2013 at 2:10 am #409732When you have white album art that means that the DTA is pointing to a file that is not there, typically because you have the wrong file name.
When the song sends you back to the menu when trying to load, it means the same thing is happening when it tries to load the midi and mogg for the song.
Both of these are caused by poorly created DTA files.
I tried converting the RBA files on my end (jeez who still uses that?) and first, you need to rename them to something without spaces and without the + signs and ( ) and all that other stuff. That’s just going to cause problems.
Then open it in Le Fluffie, and look at how the files are named. Open Quick DTA Editor in Le Fluffie, and make sure that the line songs/filename/filename/ both “filename” instances match exactly the filename you’re seeing in the CON. If not, change it to match. Close the DTA file and it’ll be saved automatically. Try again in game.
This RBA business is just a nuisance at this point ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Also, if you plan to keep messing with RBA files (ew), you might want to give this a spin. It was one of the first things I ever tried, so it’s pretty messy but it should be a lot faster and cleaner than the old RB3Maker.
November 26, 2013 at 2:15 am #409733Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll get to work and see if I can fix some. Will report back. These are old customs so it figures problems can occur. I absolutely hate RBA files but when the author only uploads that format I have no choice but to use RB3 Maker.
November 26, 2013 at 4:51 am #409743Let me start off by saying that whatever version of RB3 Maker I had in the past it is garbage compared to the one you just uploaded to me. This new version actually isolates the created con from the RBA file and all of its components. I was able to get a bunch of RBA’s that I had laying around converted and working. The older version of RB3 Maker was making white album art versions of some songs.
However I’m still unable to get certain songs working. Even after using the new RB3 Maker you provided. Here is an example of a song that shows up with white album

The DTA file naming looks ok to me.

November 26, 2013 at 4:53 am #409744I mentioned in my original reply you must remove spaces from the rba filename before converting. Yoh have spaces in the dta name and that is breaking things.

Yoh have spaces in the dta name and that is breaking things.I thought there was no spaces before converting. The RB3Maker program wont even let you convert the file if there is spaces.
November 26, 2013 at 5:56 am #409753on my phone I thought I saw spaces. still that file name is going to break in game. you need something short and with only letters, so remove the dash, remove the band name, you just need a short file name so the game can find the files. name the RBA something like “jabubu” and convert it. you can always rename the CON afterwards using Batch Renamer if you want it to be named properly. but not while it’s still an RBA file.
November 26, 2013 at 6:11 am #409755That was it Trojan Nemo! The file name was too long in the RBA file before converting. I finally got it to work. Thank you so much for your wisdom.
November 26, 2013 at 6:20 am #409756Glad to hear you got it working. This is one of the many things magma c3 keeps track of and prevents from becoming a problem when you create the rba with it…but no such luck with old rba files.
