I’m new to authoring w/ Reaper+Magma, and I’m having this error pop up in the midi tester in Magma:
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (‘PART DRUMS’): idle event at [1:1:000] is less than 2 beats from the beginning
Make sure you have notes for the entire BEAT track, not just at the beginning, and that you have at least two notes in the BEAT track before this point.
So I’m thinking okay, let’s just move the PART DRUMS event so it’s more than 2 beats from the beginning, right?
Well when I do that, I get THIS error:
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): MIDI track name event must appear at 1:1:000; found track name ‘PART DRUMS’ at 1:3:000
So I’m really confused on what to do here. Does it want me to move the event to 1:1:000 or not? I’m assuming “1:1:000” and “the beginning” mean the same thing, right?
(Side note, I successfully authored and exported my first RB chart earlier today without this happening, I don’t know why it’s telling me this for this specific chart)
OK EDIT: I FIXED IT BY MOVING THE [music_start] EVENT IN THE EVENTS TRACK TO 3:1. leaving this here for anyone else who has issues, since there doesn’t seem to be that many folks with this problem
