What exactly do impact the scores using RBHP?

Hey I have a few questions, since I want to colaborate in RBHP I want to know what makes “score impact”. I’m talking about pro drums. I have seen some issues with the official songs
I know adding notes obviously does, or remove them.
I know that adding a solo marker impacts the scores.
I am not sure about drum rolls (standard and special)
Similar to guitar/bass. I see lanes like drum rolls; a colored lane with notes on it (I don’t know the name), for example in the solo of the Bang your Head by Quiet Riot, adding these impacts the score?
What about to make a tom note to cymbal note and viceversa?
What about to move a section of notes to one right note? I mean, see that song, Bring me to life: the first part of the drum are charted rarely for some real, I mean, yellow note are snare, blue cymbal are closed hi hat and green cymbal is the open hi hat. The other case, just move to green crash to the blue crash.
Thanks

That wouldn’t fly honestly. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> The reason why the song is authored that way is because you’re playing an electronic kit with a very different sound than the acoustic kit that kicks when the chorus hits. You need to have a visual difference between the intro part and the chorus part, it’s rule #1 for immersion: different sounds should be represented by different notes. Now, even if the auhoring choice was entirely subjective, it wouldn’t still be an error to fix (that would be a snare authored to hi hat, in example). I’m not sure which ground rules espher set for drums upgrades but I’m confident they don’t involve subjective choices.
May 22, 2015 at 4:26 pm #446088Score-impacting is anything that impacts scoring, as obvious as that sounds.
Things that impact scoring, as best I can tell, would be as follows:
- Adding or removing notes.
- Adding or removing overdrive.
- Changing the position of overdrive or fills (it can change paths, even slightly, and thus impacts scoring).
- Adding or removing a solo.
- Adding or removing roll lanes.
Any other change, such as adjusting note positions, would be something I would need an explanation for, and we’d need to see if it actually dramatically impacts ease/difficulty of play (and thus score indirectly). I’ve rarely wanted to touch gems on charts unless it was fixing straight up broken things.

If it apply I will be happy to share my upgrades and fixes with the community.
