They’re a experimental hip-hop group from Sacramento, with a very unique sound (It’s like if you threw hardcore punk, glitch music, and a paranoid schizophrenic in a blender), and they’d be awesome to have in RB. Their stuff would be fun and hard as hell on keys and drums, while bringing a different sound to RB. Songs I’d like include:
I’ve Seen Footage
The Fever (Aye Aye)
Hustle Bones
Punk Weight
Hacker
Spread Eagle Cross the Block
Takyon (Death Yon)
Culture Shock
Birds
Whatever I Want (Fuck Who’s Watching)
You May Think He Loves You for Your Money But I Know What He Really Wants It’s Your Leapord Skin Pillbox Hat (yes, that’s the real title)
February 24, 2014 at 10:11 pm #414676I’m considering doing Spread Eagle Cross the Block. Was considering Klink, but I don’t want to deal with the little organ part at the end.
February 24, 2014 at 10:39 pm #414679They released their two latest albums, “No Love Deep Web” and “Government Plates,” with acapella and instrumental tracks for free online. So if anyone is interested in authoring any of their songs, that may be a helpful thing.

I would love for death grips to make it onto Rock Band.
March 2, 2014 at 11:56 am #414945I also found this link with the entirety of Exmilitary stems (including seperated instruments and FX files).
Now I am considering doing a pack from Death Grips using these acapellas and instrumentals. But I want to know, how should I handle album art? No Love Deep Web has a rather… infamous pictore as the album artwork. Normally, I would just use the original album art for a custom, but I don’t think C3 is the place to be spreading “dick pics” around. So I am assuming I am going to use the “censored” album art (LINK SFW, save for some profanity). But do you guys want versions of any customs from that album with the original album artwork for any reason?
Just discuss if you have an opinion, but unless told otherwise I think I’ll just do the censored cover.
March 2, 2014 at 5:28 pm #414962Yeah, just do the censored cover. The less I have to see the original, the better.
Edit: There’s also instrumentals of The Money Store floating around. No full stems because Epic owns the rights.
March 2, 2014 at 8:34 pm #414971I have zero problems with the original artwork, but on second thought, I run my setup at a few conventions where reactions would run between “hey, I love dicks!” and “WHY DID MY CHILD SEE THAT WHILE PLAYING YOUR SONGS”.

There wouldn’t be any acapellas to go along with that, would there? Because I’d love to author Get Got if it has instrumental and acapella files.

No, I already checked for them. Epic owning the rights is a double-edged sword. No stems, but the physical copys actually stay in print.
